"Terrible customer service. Not working for the client at all. Didn’t even send an adjuster to look at our damage and claims it was inspected. Had to call a handful of times to even get through to the agent. One phone call, the receptionist wanted to answer on behalf of the agent. Have significant water damage from an old leaking window that caused all of the wood to rot through and through from our front window into our living room sub-floor. All damage is behind the dry wall. State Farm “immediately”decided that it isn’t going to be covered because there’s “no evidence” of an abrupt issue. Rotted wood is from a long period of time…..like that should matter. Front window and wall has to be replaced and it is quoted $12k to fix. My entire family is now getting sick from the constant exposure to mold and rot. We have the wall and window covered with plastic sheeting but apparently it’s not enough. Due to the extensive cost to repair, we cannot afford it at all and presumably will just sit with a giant rotted hole in our house."

My wife and I recently faced a similar situation when we had an offer accepted on a property that we thought was perfect, but after a home inspection, we discovered significant issues and ultimately decided to withdraw our offer.
